Hao Hua received his bachelor and master degrees from the School of Architecture, Southeast University Nanjing, and degree from CAAD (Computer-Aided Architectural Design, Prof. Ludger Hovestadt) chair at ETH Zürich. Since 2014 he joined the Institute of Architectural Algorithms & Applications, Southeast University. He specializes in computational design and digital fabrication, now holds undergraduate design studios of digital fabrication and graduate lectures on the theory of digital architecture. Hua’s robotic fabrication team published the open-source library javakuka in 2016. A series of robot-prefabricated timber structures (Neuron, Upsilon) have been presented in exhibitions.
